Couldn't Generate Pgp Key No Agent Running
GNU gpg is encryption and signing tool.
Kleopatra is a PGP keychain manager application. The main window should look like as below. Generating a PGP Key-pair. One Gpg4Win is installed and Kleopatra is running, we can generate the first PGP key-pair. Now click on File = New Certificate; Select the 'Create a personal OpenPGP key pair' option. I was just wondering if I can generate couple of PGP key pairs and save them for later use or backup. In addition can I be sure that other wont generate and use some of my key pairs in the meantime. I mean is there any guarantee that anyone anywhere in the world haven`t generated the same keys?
The GNU Privacy Guard (GnuPG or GPG) is a free software replacement for the PGP suite of cryptographic software.
GnuPG encrypts messages using asymmetric keypairs individually generated by GnuPG users. The resulting public keys can be exchanged with other users in a variety of ways, such as Internet key servers. They must always be exchanged carefully to prevent identity spoofing by corrupting public key ↔ ‘owner’ identity correspondences. It is also possible to add a cryptographic digital signature to a message, so the message integrity and sender can be verified, if a particular correspondence relied upon has not been corrupted.

@Jens: sorry, script hangs after gpg -gen-key -batch is echoed and run; I am running Debian stable; I have also tried letting du / run before running the script, which should definitely generate more than enough entropy, but also opened and closed apps like gimp, inkscape and vbox that suck up a lot of resources. I will try adding in the%no-ask-passphrase option as you suggest and see if. Exporting public key from GnuPG fails with “WARNING: nothing exported”. Im new to PGP and I'm trying to generate a PGP private key using GnuPG through this. Doesn't look like RAM is the issue, unless it just flat out needs more than 5 GB of RAM to generate a key pair, which would be ridiculous. I closed a bunch of programs and tried to generate a keypair again. It showed me the spinning wheel for a lot longer this time, which is presumably progress, but it still eventually crashed.
How do I create my own GnuPG private and public key
1) Login to your shell account
2) Use gpg command to create the keys$ gpg --gen-key
Output:
3) Now keys generated, you can list your own key using:$ gpg -K
OR$ gpg --list-keys
Output:

- Sep 07, 2015 I just installed Qtpass. It correctly sees all my previous accounts but I can't see their contents because of the following red error: gpg: decryption failed: No secret key It also doesn't ask me for the master password.
Most important is the key ID i.e. CA7A8402. Make sure you use powerful passphrase to protect keys and not the easy one. /nintendo-eshop-generate-keys-for-gamr.html.
